We think it is very important to support the local Tanzanians. We work together with trustworthy foundations based in Tanzania. They give children the opportunity to get good education, something they can not afford without help.

Twiga Foundation

Twiga Foundation supports the ‘Sarakasi ya Vijana’ program in Mto wa Mbu, Tanzania. In this program 19 children are supported. The Foundation helps these children (6 – 13 years old) to get back in primary school and they give them extra tutoring. After primary school Twiga Foundations helps the children to get in secondary school and/or professional school. This way they are given a second chance in life to become responsible, skilled, self-confident and compassionate young people. You can support Twiga Foundation by donations. Also (secondhand) goods like clothes, shoes and toys are very welcome. If you are interested in supporting Twiga Foundation it is possible to make donations and hand goods over yourself during your visit to Tanzania. Watoto Foundation

The Watoto Foundation supports street children in entire Tanzania. The Foundation has three projects; Child in the Stars takes care of the first intake of the street children. Child in the Sky takes care of the education for the boys. And third one is the Kiboko Lodge. This lodge guarantees work after the boys have graduated. In April 2010 this lodge will open. It is situated at the foot of Mt. Meru, next to Arusha National Park. By spending a night at this lodge you will support this project. If you want to spend the night here, you can indicate it while making an inquiry. Of course you can also support the projects by money donations.
