About us
My name is Rhonda Blokhuis. I was born in Germany and raised in the east of the Netherlands. My passion for Tanzania started after my studies. After my university graduation I went to Tanzania to work and live there for over a year. I worked for various tour operators and gained my experience in the Tanzanian tourism industry. I have travelled trough Tanzania to experience the best places and hospitality first hand. I was intrigued by the people in Tanzania. They live with so many different tribes and different cultures peacefully next to each other. I was amazed how much respect and patience people have for others. The unbelievable beauty of the nature and wildlife has impressed me so much that I want to share this country with as many people as possible.
Bahati Travel works together with local Tanzanian people as we think it is important to create workplaces to stimulate the local economy. The Tanzanian guides we work with know the country like their own backyard. They all have diploma’s in wildlife and nature knowledge and speak very well English. Some of these guides speak other languages as well, like Arabic, Spanish, French, German and Italian. The guides will show you the wonders of Tanzania in comfortable and well maintained vehicles.
